Precedent’s feasibility tested the transformation of the Connaught Armoury into a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy destination while preserving its character-defining elements and architectural gravitas. The program organizes a lower-level hydrotherapy floor with a central hot pool, three hot pools total (including a salt-cave-inspired sanctuary), two cold plunges, infrared and traditional saunas, steam rooms, and generous lounges; the main level welcomes guests with a sculptural reception, luxurious change rooms, and twelve treatment rooms. The result: proposal-ready space planning, heritage-forward design intent, and high-fidelity concept renderings that give clients a competitive edge.
Heritage-First Adaptive Reuse
Original brick masonry, rusticated sandstone, crenellated roofline, the arched entry with cannonball finials, the “1911” datestone, and signature interior elements—like the timber stair and west-wing fireplace—are preserved and celebrated. Our concept frames these CDEs as focal points, allowing modern wellness architecture to read as a refined intervention rather than a replacement.
Immersive Hydrotherapy Circuit
The entire lower level is dedicated to ritual: a central hot pool anchors movement between three hot pools, two cold plunges, infrared and dry saunas, steam rooms, and intimate zones for heat, chill, and rest. Tactile stone, sculptural seating, and fire-lit lounges create a sensorial calm that invites lingering.
Seamless Guest Journey & Treatments
Arrival unfolds with quiet elegance—sculptural reception, warm lighting, and curated textures—before guests transition to luxurious change rooms positioned just beyond the circuit. Twelve bespoke treatment rooms deliver facials and massage with precision and privacy, completing a flow that feels natural, restorative, and impeccably considered.
